 Danes se je zaključilo predtekmovanje v I. Slovenski judo ligi. JK Impol je premagal JK Železničar (4:3) in JK Gorišnico (7:0). Impol si je z današnjima zmagama priboril final-foura na domačem terenu. JK Branik Broker je premagal JK Sankaku.
Končna lestvica predtekmovanja:

- JK BRANIK BROKER
- JK DUPLEK
- JK OLIMPIJA
V soboto, 6. 12. 2008 (final-four) bo znano ali bo bistriški klub upravičil vlogo favorita in se "maščeval" za lansko drugo mesto.

Tokyo - Olympic champion Japanese Satoshi Ishii has decided to fight in the MMA.
Ishii the heavy weight gold medal winner at the Beijing Olympic Games will be seen in the ring among professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters from now on.

Ishii is the third Japanese judoka, who has decided for a professional career in MMA. His judoka predecessors were Hidehiko Joshida, who won the 78kg category at 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and Makoto Takimoto, who won 81kg category at Sydney Olympic Games.
MMA - mixture of many martial arts is very popular sport in Japan, combining various martial arts, including judo, taekwondo, box, kickbox, muai thai...

Ceraj won the International tournament in Dubrovnik (Croatia) |

Matjaz Ceraj defeated all the opponents and returned to Slovenia with gold medal.
Primoz Ferjan took a 7th place (first appearance on the international tournament after the knee surgery).
"It was a great training for me after the surgery. I am pleased with shown fights," said the younger Ferjan.
 In his first fight Ceraj defeated Serbian Aleksander Petkovic by Yuko. Another fight served with the intresting Asian-Slovene match. Korean Kim was helpless during the match, Ceraj succeeded and threw him for Ippon. In the final battle he has encountered a neighbor and old acquaintance Hungarian Bor Barna. The final match between the two young and highly prospective judokas, were decided by Slovenian judoka. Ceraj found a better solution and threw the Hungarian for Ippon. Gold medal was accompanied with 1000 euro money price, as well!
"Given that this was the first serious tournament after the Olympic Games, I'm very pleased with the fights. I was feeling good, and I had a great desire to win. I think I still have a lot of reserve in physical and psychological aspects of my performance," said Matjaz Ceraj after the excellent fights.

First fight for Primoz after knee surgery! |

After the surgery and demanding three-months rehabilitation Primoz is back on tatami. As the matter of fact, he has just won his first fight after the long absence from tournaments.
"I know that I excellently rehabilitated my injury and I feel great on tatami," said the younger Ferjan after the fight at Premier Slovenian Judo League event.
Primoz will soon travel to Dubrovnik trying to get back into the game at the international level tournament.
