Biography
Primoz was one of the youngest judokas in his club Ivo Reya. Since his brother Klemen was already a member his parents decided to enroll him too. He showed great talent and enthusiasm in the sport. It turned out it was the right choice.
In 2001 he performed extremely well at the Youth Olympics in Spain and took the silver medal. This is the best cadet-male result in Slovenia. This result was only the beginning of his early success. As a junior he won several medals at International junior "A" tournaments.
In the 2005 Senior World Championships in Cairo-Egypt he was the closest Slovenain male to the podium. The 7th place finish is the best male result in independent Slovenia.
Coming close to a medal in Cairo his goals became higher. He wants to reach for the stars at this year's World Championships in Brasil and ride the wave until Beijing 2008.
Like his brother he changed clubs and coaches but never considered quitting Judo.
He is currently preparing for the Olympic qualifications under supervision of his coach Filip Lescak.
